Procedures Performed
We offer several head, neck and spine procedures at the Spine and Brain Imaging Center.
If you’re struggling with pain, these procedures can help. All procedures are performed by American Board of Neurological Surgery certified neurosurgeon Dr. Arvind Ahuja. Throughout all of these procedures, our highly trained team of staff and technicians will explain the process and answer any questions you may have. Our patient and knowledgeable staff will help you along the way.
Epidural Steroid Injections (ESIs)
Epidural steroid injections (ESIs) are non-surgical treatments for chronic neck and back pain.
We use fluoroscopy to assist in pinpointing the correct place on the spine for the ESI. By observing the injection procedure with highly accurate imaging, we can ensure that the injection is as effective as possible and patient discomfort is minimal.
Cerebral Angiograms
Cerebral angiograms provide images of the blood vessels in and around your brain.
We utilize a Phillips C-ARM for angiograms; this machine was evaluated to produce the lowest amount of radiation possible without hindering image quality. Our high quality images alert us to aneurysms and blockages without exposing patients to excessive radiation.
Lumbar Punctures
Lumbar punctures can alert us to nervous system disorders like multiple sclerosis, cancers of the brain, and spinal cord and other serious medical issues.
By injecting dye and radioactive substances into your lumbar region, the team at the Spine and Brain Imaging Center can accurately diagnose problems and address your health concerns.
